Sapphire Water supplies innovative solutions for drinking water, wastewater and process water treatment. Their water and wastewater solutions draw on the very latest in advanced water treatment technologies, which include: reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, nano-filtration, biological filtration and others. In addition to custom designed water treatment systems they offer a wide array of standard water treatment equipment and accessories. For more in depth information on their offerings please contact us or visit their website.
Membrane treatment technologies are ideal for drinking water production and for treating industrial process water where a high degree of purity is required such as boiler feed water. Advanced membrane treatment technologies employed include:
- Reverse Osmosis
Sapphire Water offer both custom and standard membrane treatment solutions.
SIBROM Biological Filtration System
The Sapphire Integrated Biological Reverse Osmosis Membrane or SIBROM system. Here, as the name implies, raw water passes through a series of Bio-filters before final treatment in an RO membrane filtration unit. This powerful combination of biological and membrane treatment technologies, consistently produces biologically stable drinking water that conforms to the highest water quality standards in the world.
The SIBROM system utilizes the Filtralite™ expanded clay media shown at left to support the biological activity, the bacteria clings to the media and naturally oxidizes contaminants such as hydrogen sulphide, iron, arsenic, ammonium and dissolved organic material contaminants from the drinking water source. The bio-filtration step improves conditions for the operation of the following reverse osmosis step in the process by reducing fouling of the membranes. Please go to their website for more detailed information on the SIBROM system
Sapphire Water offer biological solutions for wastewater treatment such as membrane bioreactors (MBR) and moving bed bioreactors (MBBR). These systems can be provided as containerized units, skid mounted or for incorporation into customer supplied tankage. A containerized MBR system is shown at left.
